Dare for the Wild!

For our 30th Anniversary Year, we want to challenge YOU to Dare for the Wild for Care for the Wild!

Tom Eveleigh and mum Heather, our Skydive Champions!

What do you have to do? Pretty much anything that will raise money to help us rescue, protect and defend wildlife around the world. You can take part in one of our organised challenge events, run a marathon – or pick your own dare! The wackier the better (though stay safe!)

** Newsflash! Bonnie is swimming a mile in Lake Windermere for us! Go Bonnie! **

On this page you can see:

The Dare for the Wild Skydive Challenge

Skydive Tom Eveleigh

Some amazing, brave, wonderful people threw themselves out of a plane to help wildlife in June 2014. Between them, they raised over £2000 to support our work rescuing, protecting and defending wildlife around the world.

And, they even had a fantastic time doing it!

You can see pictures and read more about the Dare for the Wild Skydive Challenge here.

We may do this again in the future – if you’re interested in taking part!

Open Challenges – Take a Holiday on the Wild Side!

We believe that challenge events offer people a real opportunity to experience, learn and contribute to Care for the Wild, and have fun at the same time. Why not take your next holiday on the wild side and make a difference to animals under threat across the world?

Fancy choosing your own trip? Why not try an open challenge through our partner Different Travel:

“We believe that our challenges not only make a difference to the communities we visit through our responsible tourism ethos, but also to the people who travel with us who get more out of their trip because they have the opportunity to give something back.”

There is a great range of open challenges from this responsible operator to choose from that vary from moderate to challenging-extreme. You could be taking a glacial trek in Iceland to the Northern Lights, scaling mount Kilimanjaro or cycling through Indian jungle.

“Take on the inhospitable environment of the beautiful Sahara Desert on this five-day charity challenge. You will experience the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and learn about the day-to-day life of the nomadic Berber people as you trek through the desert. Each night you will have the chance to sleep under the stars, eat incredible food cooked in the traditional Berber way and fall asleep to the sound of the crackling campfire and the gentle snores of the camels”
